Still a bit hung over from last Tuesday's cocktail but things are better. The nausea is pretty much history and not as tired as I have been (getting up at the crack of 7 instead of the usual crack of 10) but the body aches are hanging on. Isn't like after the last round where it felt like being rapped with a baseball bat - more like getting pinged with a ballpeen hammer - always in the joints. Ringing in the ears has been replaced by hissing... like to think of it as the chemo perking -Sorry I missed the co-op winter get together last weekend. Always nice to be around so many people that look forward to summer, especially since we're just into February.
Joann has scaled back on my plan to demo the kitchen up north. She wants me to do something "less destructive"...takes all the fun out of home improvement, but there's always something that needs doing up there.. or maybe it's just that I like having projects to do.
Good things are going to start happening here in a few weeks, Matt's 32nd birthday, a new granddaughter and my final exams on the 22nd. And Saturday was the eleventh anniversary of my stroke. So all in all, this has been and will be a good month.
Joann did a good job on the last blog - I think she should do it more often, eh ?

ReplyDeleteWell, I learned something new today from your blog...I had to look up "ballpeen hammer" since I have never heard of one...doesn't look or sound like it would feel much better than the baseball bat!
We did miss you at the get together, but it was good to see Joann and chat with her for a while.
Well, to think of it, I learned 2 new things from your blog today....what a ballpeen hammer is and that you had a stroke 11 years ago. You must not have had any deficits that lasted from it as you seem pretty darn "normal"...and that is good!
You are right, Joann did a good blog...I did notice she received more responses than you did!!!...I guess we just can't have you getting all the attention over there :) I look forward to "hearing" from her more often.

ReplyDeleteYep, a stroke to kick off my 50's, cancer to kick off my 60's...can't accuse me of doing anything half-a$$ed...hoping all I'll need in my 70's is Cialis ! You keep writing - OK? Need someone to keep me in check.

ReplyDeleteAnother great thing coming up soon is Spring! Ready for the warmer weather, and another season of fishing. I'm thinking seriously about those stairs with the drawers!
