Ken,your table is ready.

Some of you will recognize this machine, the rest of you I hope will never have the need to. The tumor blaster that radiates me daily. I walk in the room and the girls say "Strip off your cloths Ken" ....nicest thing that's said to me all day...
Got bitch slapped pretty hard yesterday but some new drugs did the trick and today is much better. Second week of seven is over and only stumbled once - we can do this.
Have a good weekend, thanks again for your responses and we'll talk to you Monday.
Ken

  1. SO glad that you're feeling better today, Ken! Gotta love "the drugs". I can't say that I like the looks of the radiation machine, but if it does the trick,I say go for it. Besides, I can't think of any other situation where young girls will ask you to take your clothes off, so....
You hang in there, pal and let them kill that nasty-ass cancer!

  2. First thing I want to know is, where the hell is the super charger on that thing?
Hang in there, Dad. I think about how you're doing almost constantly throughout my day.
Some day, hopefully in the not too distant future we'll all look back on this and know that this was a turning point towards a healthier life. So, until then...take your Vega (I know it sucks sometimes) and hang in there. Yes, this is the same son that took down a pound burger, a pound of fries and a pound of slaw, just to win a t-shirt.
So, stick it out...listen to the nurses when they tell you to stip...(it is ok to sing a few verses from the Humpty Dance when you do), and know that we all love you.
I'll talk to both you and Mom soon.
    I miss and love you,
    Paul-Paul-Paul

  3. Good to know that you had a better day today! I do recognize that machine....it's probably hard for you to believe now, but after a while this time in your life will become a very faded memory overshadowed by happy, healthy days that you will be sharing with friends and family. Lorraine

  8. That machine looks like a big mixer. Or, if you turn it over, it looks like you could bolt the cleaver onto that think like a big outboard motor.

Sorry to hear things are getting rough -- keep that happy place front and center.

Showed Kevin your "Captain Ken" reference, and he is wishing you the best as we all are. Two weeks out of seven -- that's a big journey already. Just think -- the colder the weather gets and the more Christmas lights you see, the closer you are to being done. And once you're done with this issue, it's time to hit the indoor driving range and work on that other problem of yours -- your slice.

  9. Jason, Jason,Jason, I keep telling you it's only a slice if I can't FIND IT, otherwise it's a "power fade"...plus I don't have to hit it straight when we're playing best ball with you and Matt.

  11. Uncle Ken, you think that machine is bad? You should see some of the shit they put you under at the hair salon. :) Just kidding! I love you, and I think about you every day. I talk to the big guy every night and we always have a conversation about you.
    Love you,
    Ryann
